STING DOLLS: MEET CAITLIN
“Dance like no one is watching”
Full of life and a vibrant personality, our doll of the week, Caitlin Courson, will never be caught without a contagious smile. We first met our team’s bubbliest sweetheart hanging from the rafters in Stingaree’s Guesthouse dancing to Flo Rida’s, “Wild Ones,” on just another sold out Saturday. We knew from the start that she was a natural born Sting Doll. After trading in booty shaking for bottle popping our brunette bombshell immediately stole our hearts. With her upbeat attitude and cheerful charisma, Caitlin fit right in to our Sting family. Always keeping us entertained with her silliness and effervescent energy, it’s hard not to get excited when you see our gal enter a room.
Growing up on a family built sailboat off the docks of Mission bay, Caitlin has been a San Diego native her whole life. Now residing off the sandy streets of Pacific Beach, she gets to enjoy the perks of a laidback beach life. You can catch her with a vanilla chai tea latte in hand, running around Fiesta Island with her Olde English Bulldog, Capone. But whether she’s chasing her pup, lifting weights at the gym, or being cozy at home in her Victoria Secret sweats, Caitlin always looks like a million bucks. She is our glam superstar!
We caught up with Caitlin for breakfast at her favorite local eatery, Snooze, to learn more about this animated, carefree, beauty queen and what drives that beautiful endless smile.
How many people can say they grew up sleeping over the ocean? You’re our real-life mermaid! Tell us about growing up on a boat.
My family and I lived on a sailboat across from Sea World on Seaforth Harbor till I was nine; I loved it! I have such an amazing and supportive family. I remember being a kid and rescuing hurt birds with my dad. They would land our boat and we would try and save them by taking them to Sea World’s rescue team for rehabilitation.
What sparked your interest towards a career in the nightlife and hospitality industry?
I joined the industry when I was twenty, working and dancing at almost every venue/nightclub in downtown San Diego.
We couldn’t be more proud that you’re a Sting Doll. What do you love most about working for Stingaree?
I can’t say enough about the Sting family. From the moment I started, I have felt so welcomed. All the dolls are beautiful, hardworking women. I love working in fast paced environments. Plus, lets face it, I get to make sure people are having a good time for a living. Not only do I get to say I work for the number one nightclub team in San Diego, but I get to meet artists and performers that I see on T.V. and hear on the radio.
What’s been your favorite event at Sting?
My first night as a Sting Doll Method Man and Redman performed. I remember being nine, hiding in my closet (so my parents wouldn’t hear) and listening/rapping to their music. Now sixteen years later I’m serving them champagne. When I got home from work, ironically, How High was on T.V. It definitely made my ‘welcome to Sting’ experience one I’ll never forget!
What’s your favorite champagne to get the party started?
I’ll take a bottle of PJ Rose please!
When you aren’t hosting the party what can you be found doing?
I constantly stay busy! I’m still dancing and occasionally you can find me working various promotional events. I workout at the gym daily and like taking my pup, Capone, for runs along the beach. I love to cook so I’m often caught in the kitchen making something delicious for my man and I.
What’s your pick for a dinner date night?
It’s hard to pick one but Mister A’s, PoPazzo, and Sushi Deli are some of my favorite local spots!
Thanks for taking us to Snooze and catching up with us! How can we keep up with you outside of Sting?
